Schneider-Kreuznach is launching a revised version of its variable ND filter designed for professional camera use. The True-Match Vari-ND MKII now offers a range from ND 0.45 to ND 3.45, which corresponds to 1.5 to 11.5 f-stops. As usual, exposure control is done via a rotating ring with a low profile of only 5.9mm to prevent vignetting. When turning the ring, two highly neutral grey polarizing filters are moved against each other, thus changing the effective neutral density effect.
The True-Match Vari-ND MKII will be available immediately in the diameters 77 mm and 82 mm at an undisclosed price.
