 The Gimp based on the open-source program for film and video retouching is available now in a new version. Currently, however, only for Linux and Mac OSX. Only planned for 2006 follow-up version (code name Glasgow) will again be available for Windows. CinePaint was already used in Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo and Stuart Little, to name just a few film projects to be mentioned.
