After 
almost 5 years, Samyang releases the AF 35mm F1.4 FE II, the second generation of its full-frame standard fixed focal length for mirrorless cameras with the Sony E mount. With the re-release of the AF 35mm F1.4 FE II, Samyang has now revised another important focal length within the F1.4 FE series after the 50mm.

Sharpness is said to be largely maintained from corner to corner even at open aperture in the new version, delivering consistent imaging performance across all aperture values. By minimizing vibration and noise from the linear stepping motor (LSTM), the new AF 35mm F1.4 FE II is also said to be particularly well-suited for video recording . When tracking objects in video recordings, the autofocus herewith is said to work especially fast, reliable and quiet.
Version 2 of the Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II for Sony E Mount
Special features include a customizable focus hold button and a custom switch directly on the lens barrel. Among other things, it allows the focus ring to be used as an aperture ring. The assignment of the custom switch can be customized at any time with the separately available Samyang Lens Station. Firmware updates can also be applied via the Lens Station, which will provide the lens with additional functions in the future.
Version 2 of the Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II for Sony E Mount
The Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II lens is scheduled to begin shipping in mid-April 2022 for €699 (including 19% VAT).
