New version of the free HitFilm Express 14

HitFilmExpress, the free version of the editing and VFX program HitFilm Pro (iOS/Windows), is now available in a new version. HitFilm Express 14 brings a whole range of improvements and new features, such as support for AMD graphics cards for hardware-accelerated decoding (Nvidia and Intel GPUs are already supported), expanded export options, new text display options and the ability to link and open ImergePro files directly.

Workflow and usability improvements include editing of masks and effects and a new Composite button. Users who own the additional 3D Model Render Pack can now also use teletextures for 3D models, for example to add animated bullet holes, cracked glass or changing textures. Also new is the "Pay What You Want" option, which allows first-time users of the free programme to voluntarily contribute to the development of HitFilm Expres. A portion of this amount will be donated to charitable initiatives that are important to the company and the community of Express users.

Depending on the amount of the contribution, there are additional features or packages, divided into three levels:

Starter Pack Level: those who donate more than will receive the following:
- Professional dark mode interface
- Edit tools including Text, Split Screen Masking, PiP, Vertical Video, Action Cam Crop
- Color tools including Exposure, Vibrance, Shadows and Highlights, Custom Gray, Color Phase, Channel Mixer and 16-bit color
- Additional VFX packs including Shatter, 3D Extrusion, Fire, Blood Spray and Animated Lasers

Content Creator Level: from 19 Dollars onward, you can add it:
- Edit: Repair Pack with Denoise, Grain Removal and Rolling Shutter
- Color: LUT Pack with LUTs and Grading Transfer
- Edit: Beautify Pack with Bilateral Blur and Pro Skin Retouch#

VFX Artist Level: Whoever gives 39 to 99 dollars gets an extra one:
- Composite Toolkit Pack with Wire Removal, Projector, Clone and Channel Swapper
- Composite Pro-Keying Pack for Chroma Keying
- Motion Audio Visual Pack with Atomic Particles, Audio Spectrum and Audio Waveform
- VFX Neon Lights Pack with Lightsword Ultra (2-Point Auto), Lightsword Ultra (4-Point Manual), Lightsword Ultra (Glow Only) and Neon Path
- VFX Lighting Pack with Anamorphic Lens Flares, Gleam, Flicker and Auto Volumetrics

However, these options are only offered during the initial installation.
