Another series of cine lenses made in China was introduced at NAB. The manufacturer of the Athena series - NiSi - has so far mainly optical filters or accessories on the market. The manual full-frame fixed focal lengths 14mm T2.4, 25mm T1.9, 35mm T1.9, 50mm T1.9 and 85mm T1.9 cover a 46mm image circle and are said to exhibit minimized focus breathing. They appear for PL, Canon RF and Sony E-mount.

The lenses are matched in size and weight - they weigh between 800 and 890g (depending on the mount) and are 81.3mm long - except for the 14mm optic. The position of the aperture and focus rings are the same, gear rings are present in each case. The focus travel is 300°. The aperture is composed of 10 blades.
The filter thread is 77mm (it is missing on the 14mm, though). In addition, there is a slot for drop-in filters on the RF/E versions, and the PL version supports back-lens filters.
The five Athena lenses will be offered together as a set for ,590 and are expected to be available in June.
