With the NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S, Nikon has added a super-telephoto lens to its portfolio of high-quality S-series lenses. With a weight of approx. 1470g, the new Nikkor 600 can be considered a very light lens (for comparison: the somewhat faster AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4 E FL ED VR weighed just under 4 kg, the current NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is approx. 2.1 kg). ![]()
Nikon claims that the new NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S has a centre of gravity that is close to the camera body, making it particularly well balanced and usable for freehand shooting. The optical image stabilisation (VR) is said to compensate for 6 stops of light and to work smoothly with Nikon&s 1.4x and 2x teleconverters. ![]() The optical construction consists of 21 lenses in 14 groups, the closest focusing distance is 4m and the aperture consists of 9 blades. The integrated L-function buttons can be freely assigned by the user with various functions - including preset focus positions. In addition, the silently operating adjustment ring can be assigned ISO, aperture, focus, exposure compensation, etc. Price and availability The NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S will be available in stores from the end of October 2023 at a recommended retail price of 5,799.00 EUR. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Nikon stellt mit NIKKOR Z 600mm f6.3 VR S seine bislang leichteste 600mm Festbrennweite vor |
