Nikon continues to complete its lens portfolio for full-frame DSLMs. The latest addition is the Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8. Weighing just 155g, it is one of the lightest lenses in its class on the market. The design consists of 9 lenses in 8 groups (including 2 aspherical lenses) and offers a closest focusing distance of 19 cm.
Filmmakers may be interested in Nikon's note that focus breathing has been almost completely eliminated and the focus system is said to operate particularly quietly.
The aperture consists of 7 blades, the filter mount is 52mm.
The new Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 should be available from mid-December 2021 at an MSRP of €279.
