The Chinese manufacturer Nitecore, known for its flashlights, has introduced the intelligent battery NFZ100 for Sony Alpha cameras like the Sony Alpha 7 III,/7R III,/7R IV/α9 (ILCE-9)/9R and Alpha 9s. The highlight of the battery: it can be monitored via the NNERGY Mobile App (iOS/Android). In real time the battery status, the battery life and the estimated remaining time can be controlled via smartphone. In order to distinguish between several batteries, each battery can be assigned its own numerical code via App. The app can also be used to update the firmware to be compatible with new Sony cameras. A 2280mAh battery charge should be enough for about 500 photos.

The NNERGY App can also be used to turn on the memory mode, which automatically discharges the battery to 70% to maximize battery life.
