At its "in-house trade show" GTC 2025, Nvidia not only provided a preview of the upcoming server GPUs, but also announced its new RTX Pro Blackwell GPU series, which is specifically tailored to the needs of creators. Previously, such models were marketed as workstation GPUs under the product name Quadro, but the range of applications has shifted from CAD and 3D modeling to video editing and, most recently, strongly towards AI, which is why these models are now called RTX Pro.

The card also offers slightly more computing cores (24,064 instead of 21,760), but also a 512-bit memory bus and a memory bandwidth of 1792 GB/s. Furthermore, there is PCIe Gen 5 and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. Later, the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell will also be available in a Max-Q variant and a server edition for data centers. The normal variant will consume a maximum of 600W, similar to the RTX 5090, while the special Max-Q variant should be content with 300W and calculate "only" about 10 percent slower. It should be clocked significantly lower, with the memory throughput remaining the same at 1792 GB/s. ![]() Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell - Workstation GPU with 96 GB GDDR7 Memory There will also be smaller versions: In addition to the RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell, an RTX Pro 5000 and the RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell were announced in desktop and laptop form factors. Only for laptops there will also be models with the class designations 3000, 2000, 1000 and 500. However, the laptop variants have a maximum of 24 GB of VRAM. This is particularly interesting because these GPUs will compete with mobile shared memory solutions from AMD and Apple, which offer up to 128 GB of memory - which is extremely popular for local AI experiments. Nvidia has not yet announced a price for the workstation variant RTX Pro 6000, but manufacturers of corresponding cards have already announced (These will be Dell, HP and Lenovo in addition to PNY), who are forecasting corresponding availability from May. The RTX Pro Blackwell laptop variants are expected to be found later this year in devices from Dell, HP, Lenovo and Razer, among others. ``` ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell vorgestellt - Workstation GPU mit 96 GB DDR7 Speicher |
