On-Camera Monitor TVLogic F-7H mk2: 3,600 nits bright and with function keys // NAB 2019

TVLogic has introduced two new camera monitors: an update of the super bright 7" field monitor F-7H shown at IBC 2018 and the 5.5" F-5A. The F-7H mk2 is improved compared to the F-7H by some features: like the F-7H it is with 3.600 nits much brighter than any other on-camera monitor, e.g. it surpasses the 7" 703 Ultrabright by SmallHD by 1.400 nits and delivers a well visible image even in direct sunlight.

However, its display reflects significantly less than the previous model F-7H and offers quick access to frequently used presets or functions via four new function keys on the front. In addition, the sharpness is improved and there is a new peak boost function with a new image processing engine.

Its panel has a FullHD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with an extended color space (Wide Color Gamut) and a viewing angle of 160° horizontally and vertically. The F-7H mk2 offers functions such as waveform, vectorscope, audio level, focus assist, range error, anamorphic desqueeze, various scan modes (including overscan and underscan), time code display, various aspect ratios and makers, 3D LUT import via USB, camera logs and HDR emulation via HDR EOTFs PQ, HLG and SLog3. Via its 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI and HDMI 1.3 inputs and outputs it can cross-convert SDI input to HDMI and vice versa.

The

TVLogic F-5A is with 5.5" somewhat smaller (and therefore also lighter) and resembles the F7-H in its range of functions, only that with 500 nits it shows only a slightly above average brightness. Its IPS panel also has a FullHD (1,920 x 1,080,) resolution and a viewing angle of 160° h/v. The interfaces include once per SDI and HDMI 1.2 inputs and outputs including the possibility of cross conversion. Its features include similar functions as the F-7H mk2 (Waveform, Vectorscope, Split Zoom, KeyLock, Blue Only/Mono, Audio Level, Focus Assist, Range Error, ...).

TVLogic F-5A

The TVLogic F-5A as well as the TVLogic F-7H mk2 will be officially presented at the NAB 2019 and should be available soon at a price of about 850 Dollar, the price of the TVLogic F-7H mk2 will probably be in the range of its predecessor, about 2.000 Euro.
