On Reddit a very simple "hack" was found, with which all Youtube videos can be viewed ad-free. On the one hand, we see it quite critical to use such hacks, because the platforms and thus also YouTube are financed by advertising. On the other hand, the information should have gotten around in a short time anyway, which is why Alphabet/Google/Youtube will put a stop to this just as quickly.
Instead of www.youtube.com/watch?v=-umlnQfRMAk we shall give www.youtube.com./watch?v=-umlnQfRMAk in the browser line, and in fact the advertisement "from this point on" is no longer shown. In the truest sense of the word: Because if you continue surfing from here, the following videos remain ad-free (because you are actually in a different server domain.). It is unclear whether in this case the youtubers from the pot of youtube revenues will be paid for ad-free content, but it is probably not. Therefore, in our opinion, it should be kept as with adblockers. If you value the content of a site, you should also allow monetization for it and turn off ad blockers. Likewise, good YouTube content should also be viewed with advertisements to provide at least minimal support for the content creators. Bild zur Newsmeldung:
