The Wiesbaden 3D IO Games & Video Production GmbH produces not only games and videos, but also programmed its own tools and plug-ins. With "Exr-IO", the company has now introduced a free Photoshop plugin that can read and spend OpenEXR files. The open format developed by Industrial Light & Magic under a BSD open source license, and allows the use of multiple layers, which could contain not only 16/32-bit floating point color, but also shadow gradients, Render Layer or depth information.
