The mirrorless full-frame cameras LUMIX S1RII, S1II, and S1IIE are also receiving firmware updates; in October, Panasonic had already updated the[link] (S5II/X, GH7, and G9II). New features include optimized heat management, which should allow for longer recording times under certain conditions, as well as the introduction of the MP4(Lite) video format.
In parallel, another update for the LUMIX Flow App is being released.

Optimized Heat Management for Longer Recording Times:
- The temperature control algorithm has been improved, which should reduce the influence of ambient conditions on recording time.
New Option for Burst Shooting (SH-Burst):
- A "Low-Speed Option" for lower burst shooting speeds has been added to SH burst shooting, including Pre-Burst (S1II and S1RII only).
Autofocus Improvements:
- Display of detection frames is now also possible only for the main subject.
- New option for eye detection - AF frame can be displayed as a small "rectangle."
- Improved stability of Tracking AF through optimized algorithms.
New Video Features:
- MP4(Lite) has been added as a data-reduced video format:

Extended Compatibility:
- Improved compatibility with the S-R100500 interchangeable lens and the DMW-STC14 and DMW-STC20 teleconverters.
Support for LUMIX Flow App (Version 1.4):
- The external monitor function allows applying LUTs in Live View, displaying multiple frame markers, and focus frames.
Further Improvements:
- When[Constant Preview] is set to[OFF], an icon is displayed on the recording screen indicating that the preview effect is disabled.
- ISO Auto can be configured in the[ISO Displayed Setting] menu.
- Bug fix for different Live View quality between standby and video recording when using False Color.
- A 1.6x display option for the anamorphic desqueeze display has been added.
- The base ISO sensitivity is now displayed when Dual Native ISO AUTO is set.
- The default setting for the "Sub Video Rec." button has been changed to "No Setting" in both Photo mode and Playback mode.
- Faster processing for Focus Stacking through algorithm optimization.
- New menu that allows the Live View to be displayed in consistent quality in both standby and video recording modes (S1II only).
LUMIX Flow App Update (Version 1.4)
- Support for LUT view assist – LUT Live View is available in the app and can be turned on or off.
- Display of multiple frame markers: Display identical to camera settings.
- Improved AF frame display for automatic detection.
All updates are expected to be available starting November 26, 2025.
