The Oscar for Best Actor was awarded to Gary Oldman for his Churchill performance in "The Darkest Hour".

And also worth mentioning: as the best documentary film, Netflix&s production "Icarus," which was subsequently acquired by Bryan Fogel and Dan Cogan (partly filmed on a Canon Vixia/Legria) and won an Oscar for the special effects at Bladerunner 2049 for, among others, Gerd Nefzer, a German was also able to breathe some Hollywood air.
