After some Panasonic camcorders were updated in January, a successor to the AG-CX350 is now coming for production, broadcast and live streaming professionals - with gentle enhancements. ![]() Panasonic AG-CX370 Compared to the previous models in the CX series, the CX370 now supports the 12G-SDI output, which delivers uncompressed 4K videos in high quality and with low latency that can be streamed to professional broadcast equipment. The CX370 also supports simultaneous 4K output via SDI and HDMI outputs. Another new feature concerns the audio section: Unlike the CX350 model, the new camcorder has two balanced XLR inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack input. In this way, up to four external microphones or line-level audio can be supported for 4-channel 24-bit LPCM audio recordings.

A high-resolution 1.0-type 15MP MOS sensor is installed together with a 24.5 mm wide-angle zoom lens (35 mm equivalent) with 20x optical zoom. The CX370 creates 4K/60p/10-bit MOV recordings with HEVC/H.265 codec, and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) is also supported for HDR recordings. Furthermore, the camera offers autofocus technology with face recognition, auto-tracking and five-axis hybrid image stabilization. Extended IP-based functions for live productionsThe CX370 has integrated NDI HX2 IP connectivity for IP-based transmissions and camera control. Combined with NDI-compatible devices such as mixers and decoders, NDI HX2 enables smooth, high-quality IP-based live video production. The CX370 offers 4K direct streaming via the RTMP, RTMPS and RTSP protocols, as well as the next-generation IP-based SRT protocols. ![]() In addition to compatibility with the AVC-ULTRA format (P2 MXF), the camcorder supports the File Transfer Protocol, which allows recorded clips to be shared with broadcasters via a wired network, Wi-Fi (AJ-WM50E optional) or USB tethering with a mobile phone. The newly integrated GENLOCK input port enables broadcast-quality synchronization in multi-camera environments. In addition, images can be displayed simultaneously on multiple high-resolution LCD displays and viewfinders. Focus and zoom settings can be easily adjusted via a wired remote control or via IP-based networks via LAN connection. The AG-CX370 from Panasonic Connect will be launched in the second quarter of 2025 and will be shown for the first time at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. A price has not been announced; the CX350 was launched 6 years ago for around 4,580 euros. ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Profi-Camcorder Panasonic AG-CX370 u.a. für Live-Produktionen vorgestellt |
