The year is coming to an end, and thus one could already guess that it probably won't quite work out. We're talking about the GH6, which should actually have been released this year according to
Panasonic's announcement. Regarding this expectation, Panasonic Japan has now released the following statement:
Note regarding the LUMIX GH6.
We thank them for their continued loyalty to Panasonic products. Regarding the LUMIX GH6 mirrorless system camera, which was developed in recent years and announced on May 26, 2021, we were aiming for a 2021 launch, but this is now expected to be delayed. We are currently targeting early 2022 for commercialization. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers waiting for this product. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

As a manufacturer, Panasonic is thus also likely to suffer from the current acute chip shortage on the world markets - as are many of its competitors. All the more MFT fans (and we ourselves) can look forward to the spring of 2022, which, yes, hopefully promises a little more relaxation in many other respects.
