Parrot is a cheap and simple teleprompter solution from Padcaster that consists of a small box with a half-mirror that is attached in front of the camera lens and then displays the text to be spoken using a smartphone attached underneath. The app for iOS/Android provides the scrolling text, which can be controlled via Bluetooth remote control. Among other things, the text size and scroll speed of the teleprompter text can be adjusted.

With the wireless remote control the scroll speed, the pause and a fast forward and rewind of the text can be controlled remotely. The Parrot Telepromtper is only 114.3mm x 101.6mm x 82.55mm in size and weighs 170g, so it is very transportable - the additionally necessary smartphone is included anyway. It can be mounted to the camera in a few seconds together with the smartphone.
The Padcaster Parrot Teleprompter Set costs around 140 dollars and consists of a 30R/70T beam splitter, nine mounting rings for mounting on different camera lenses (49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm. 72mm, 77mm and 82mm), a glass cleaning kit, a Bluetooth remote control and, of course, the corresponding Parrot app.
