The latest version of Mocha Pro 2026 introduces a new, AI-powered tool for matte refinement for roto and tracking, and camera solves should also be cleaned up faster. The revised Curve Editor provides access to all available parameters during tracking.
Matte Refine ML
With the new Matte Refine ML, BorisFX further expands Mocha Pro's AI-based masking toolset, which previously included Object Brush ML, Matte Assist ML, and Face ML.

Matte Refine ML in Mocha Pro
Matte Refine ML is intended to automatically refine matte edges and deliver good masking results faster, especially for demanding tasks such as working with details like fine hair, as well as soft blurs or motion blurs. Multiple layers can be easily grouped and refined into a single matte, which is intended to reduce render time and simplify the control of mattes in render operations.
Refine Solve
The new Refine Solve tool has also been integrated for 3D tracking, offering faster cleanup. A simplified, flexible workflow allows for correcting faulty frames and smoothing problem areas without having to re-run the entire calculation.
Irregular or unwanted 3D elements can be quickly deleted to keep scenes stable, leading to a more accurate foundation for 3D integrations. After calculation, data from Refine Solve can be exported directly to SynthEyes if a shot requires advanced cleanup and post-processing.
Revised Curve Editor
The Curve Editor allows artists to visualize potential problems in a track, roto, or camera solve and then adjust the values directly on the curve. This is particularly useful in areas where a track might have suddenly shifted due to occlusion or a screen change.
The Curve Editor features a completely revised core, a new user interface, and better integration with the Animation Dope Sheet. Artists can switch between the Dope Sheet and the Curve Editor via a new panel.
