Samsung has released a new model in its T7 Shield range of rugged mobile SSD drives, offering the largest storage capacity of any Samsung portable consumer SSD to date at 4TB. The T7 Shield 4TB SSD offers read speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and write speeds of 1,000MB/s via its USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface (USB-C). ![]() Samsung T7 Shield
Samsung targets the credit card-sized T7 Shield series at professional content creators as well as photographers and cameramen - especially for mobile use. That&s why the "ruggedised" T7 Shield is IP65-certified and, thanks to its robust rubberised casing, also physically protects data, for example from drops (up to a height of 3 metres), moisture and dust, and digitally via AES 256-bit hardware encryption. To prevent overheating, the T7 Shield can automatically control its speed using DTG (Dynamic Thermal Guard) to keep the temperature below 60°C. Samsung&s T7 Shield is not only compatible with PCs and laptops, but also with mobile devices, game consoles and cine cameras.
