A floating camera that can also be used for fishing -- the PowerRay model introduced at the last CES is now followed by a further developed underwater drone, the PowerDolphin. It offers a rotating camera with an angle of view of 132°, but it can rotate vertically between -135° and +80°. Video is recorded in 4K resolution, but much more is not known about the film capabilities.
For control and image control, a FullHD signal is transmitted to the Vision+ App via WiFi. The range should be about 1000m, the maximum speed of the drone is 5 m/s. It is therefore also praised as a rescue device for people in distress because it can carry life jackets, lifebuoys and so on. It also targets anglers who no longer want to fish themselves, but rather prefer to film: with the help of an optimized PowerSeeker, fish stocks can be located "intelligently", the PowerDolphin can then attract the fish with different baits or even fish with an attached line and then bring the fish home -- and all of this, of course, on video. But you have to control it yourself as it seems, either by controller or smartphone app.
The battery power should last for two hours, the brightness of the on-board lights can be adjusted in four levels. From summer 2018, the underwater drone is to be delivered for 799 euros.
