From now MainConcept offers a preview version of MainActor 5 for Linux for download. The functions of the Linux version of broadly equivalent to those from MainActor v5 for Windows. Transitions, effects and filters, as well as the text module are also a Linux user in the usual manner. The preview file already includes support for DV and export DV-AVI Type 1 files. It supports most popular image and video formats, such as bitmap, JPEG, GIF, TIFF or TGA. The release of MainActor v5 for Linux is in Q4 2003. This will allow not only MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 support an export to MPEG-1 / 2.
