Prolycht announced at NAB 2022 the new Orion 675 FS full-spectrum RGBACL COB color LED fixture, a more powerful version of its popular Orion 300 FS aimed at professional filmmakers, studios and production companies. The new model, with a power input of 675W, is the most powerful color-tunable fixture in the world, according to Prolycht. ![]() Prolycht Orion 675 FS
Using its six-color RGBACL LED "Hyperlight Color" engine, which mixes red, green, blue, amber, cyan and lime green to produce a wide color range from 1,800K to 20,000K, it is said to produce better results than traditional RGBW or RGBWW technologies. At a color setting of 5600K, Prolycht says it is brighter than a 1200-watt HMDI fixture, and at 3200K, its output is equivalent to that of a 5,000-watt tungsten fixture. The Prolycht Orion 675 FS&s CRI value is greater than 97, its TLCI value is greater than 95, and its TM-30 value is greater than 94. ![]() 6LED light engine Color Modes. The 9.45kg Prolycht Orion 675 FS offers a total of seven different operating modes: a CCT mode in which a color temperature 1600K to 20,000K with green/magenta offset can be set, an X/Y mode for reproducible colors throughout the CIE 1931 color space, an HSI mode for adjusting hue, saturation, and intensity, a gel mode with more than 330 Lee and Rosco gel equivalents, and a single-color mode that provides direct control over each of the six different color channels. There&s also Source Mode, which offers different presets to replicate the output of more than 40 types of light sources, and Effect Mode, which offers a variety of multicolor effects, each with adjustable parameters for colors and timing. In addition to the hundreds of pre-installed presets, users can also load their own presets into the Orion 675 FS. The Orion 675 FS can be dimmed from 0 to 100% in, optionally in steps of 1000, linear / exponential / logarithmic / S-curve. ![]() Control. The Prolycht Orion 675 FS is controlled via the control panel on the back of the fixture, or via DMX, CRMX, LumenRadio, Ethernet, ArtNet or WiFi, or using the free Prolycht ChromaLink app (iOS/Android) for smartphones and tablets (or other lighting control tools such as Blackout and Luminaire) via Bluetooth mesh. ![]() The Prolycht Orion 675 FS also has a Bowens mount to use softboxes and other light shapers with it.
