Three thread adapters in a set for videographers and sound engineers will be available from RØDE from the end of August. Firstly, 1/4" to 5/8" to be able to screw a camera to a microphone stand if required; secondly, the 5/8" to 3/8" reducer, which is also part of many microphone clamps, and thirdly, the small 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, which can also be used to mount a microphone on a photo tripod. The three screw adapters are attached to a sturdy carabiner clip. Fold the clip to the side and use the integrated steel tip to tighten and loosen the adapters: it fits perfectly into the groove of the adapters, eliminating the need to reach for a coin.
The RØDE Thread Adaptor Set will cost 29.90 euros.
In addition, the small miniature tripod Tripod 2, which is so far only part of the RØDE Vlogger Kit, will soon be offered separately. It has a ball head with a 1/4" threaded screw for cameras; an adapter to 3/8" for microphones is included.
When folded, the Tripod 2 can also be used as a handle. When used as a tabletop tripod, you can choose between two different heights, and the three feet can also be locked in place when half unfolded. This makes the tripod higher and the required footprint smaller. There are two 1/4" threads on each of the feet, which can be used to attach suitable accessories if required. The RØDE Tripod 2 costs 39.90 euros.
