RØDE has announced the RØDECaster Video, an all-in-one video and audio production console that combines several practical features for live video productions, allowing users to mix, record, and stream. It is specifically designed for content creators, streamers, video podcasters, and live event videographers, enabling users to switch between the input of up to six video sources or mix them. ;) RØDECaster Video
The available sources include four Full HD (1080p) HDMI inputs with automatic frame rate conversion, and two USB-C ports, which allow the connection of cameras, USB webcams, as well as USB audio or video devices as additional sources. With two configurable HDMI outputs, the program, a preview, or a multiview can be displayed. ;) RØDECaster Video Inputs and Outputs OperationThe RØDECaster Video interface allows for easy switching between various video sources, and during production, seven scene buttons can be used to trigger pre-configured complex scenes with multiple video, media, and graphic layers. Video sources can be switched using fades, transitions, and swipe effects. Conveniently (for instance, when there is no one assigned to this task), it is also possible to automatically switch between camera views depending on the audio input – perfect for video podcasts, panel discussions, and other live discussions. ;) RØDECaster Video Display The 2" multiview display of the RØDECaster Video provides a comprehensive overview of all key production information on one screen, such as previews for each input, each scene, and each feed, along with information about recording, streaming, and audio. Scene and source previews are also supported before going live, helping to avoid errors during the actual broadcast. The RØDECaster Video can also be operated remotely via RØDE Central, allowing inputs to be switched, settings adjusted, and complex scenes configured. ;) RØDECaster Video Recording and StreamingThe RØDECaster Video offers direct streaming via WiFi, Ethernet, or USB to popular platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook without the need for an external computer. Users can also record each video and audio source independently onto an external USB storage device and save them as separate ISO files. It also includes two Neutrik combo inputs with Revolution preamps, providing 76dB of gain with extremely low noise, making it possible to use high-quality microphones without additional preamps. Bluetooth support and wireless microphone integration (compatible with the RØDE Wireless Go series) are also included, offering a wide range of audio input options.
