Video Control at the Push of a ButtonThe RØDECaster Video S combines the functionality of a video switcher, audio interface, and streaming hub in one device. Up to four video sources, such as cameras, computers, or capture cards, can be integrated via three HDMI inputs and one USB-C input and managed in five programmable scenes. Switching between these sources is done at the push of a button—including live preview and customizable transitions like fades or wipes. Thanks to automatic format conversion on all inputs and NDI support, the RØDECaster Video S can be integrated into diverse setups. ;) RØDECasterVideo S Integrated Streaming and Flexible Recording OptionsMeasuring approximately 25 x 13 x 6 cm and weighing 875 g, the RØDECaster Video S can stream directly to platforms like YouTube or Twitch via RTMP, either via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Different audio mixes can be configured for the stream, headphones, and local recording. Furthermore, the RØDECaster Video S can record up to four video sources plus the program feed as separate H.264/AVC files—optionally directly onto external storage media via USB or via UVC to the computer. In addition to the USB-C port responsible for storage media, there are two further USB-C ports for connecting computers or mobile devices. ;) RØDECasterVideo S Professional Audio IntegratedTwo Neutrik combo inputs (XLR/6.35 mm) allow the connection of microphones, instruments, or line sources. The RØDECaster Video S also features integrated wireless receivers for two RØDE Wireless microphones, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 for stereo sources and smartphones. Up to nine audio sources (including digital and wireless inputs) can be mixed simultaneously. An integrated effects section with APHEX processors allows dynamics processing, EQ, and limiting without additional software—audio processing is handled entirely internally. ;) RØDECasterVideo S OperationOperation on the device itself is managed via a 2" touchscreen, two encoders, and dedicated buttons for scenes, sources, and recording control. The accompanying RØDECaster App (macOS or Windows) plays an important role in the RØDECaster Video S&s operating concept, as it allows wireless remote access to scene layouts, audio mixing, and advanced settings. With the Auto Switching function, the RØDECaster automatically reacts to audio signals and switches the camera or scene appropriately for the recording—ideal for solo users or small teams. For video productions, up to nine layers can be used simultaneously, supplemented by chroma and luma keying as well as overlays for logos, titles, or media. Two integrated media players with 24 GB of internal storage support formats such as MP4, PNG, JPG, and WAV, eliminating the need for external playback devices. ;) RØDECasterVideo S Price and AvailabilityThe RØDECaster Video S costs 549 Euros and will be available starting mid-December.
