-time lapse: here the rendering speed for video sequences above 4K and the result with large color and light shifts has been improved. -Auto level: in longer time-lapse scenes, color and level fluctuations often occur in recordings with automatic exposure. DEFlicker could already display the temporal fluctuations graphically and replace missing images in the sequence. New are methods to repair or replace bad or damaged images. -Rolling Bands: the Rolling Bands plug-in is completely new in version 2 - it can be used together with the high-speed plug-in or alone and allows modeling and attenuation of disturbing dark bands caused by problems in time synchronization of lighting and rolling shutter. The plug-in provides interactive ways to model the height of these bands, the distance between the bands and the rolling speed. It also provides options for fine-tuning the bands to adjust the transition from lighter to darker source video. Timing processing takes into account the speed of the rolling tapes. All plug-ins now offer improved handling of linear versus gamma encoded sources. Old projects of the first version should work without problems in the new one. RE:Vision Effects has introduced version 2 of its DEFlicker v2 tool, which improves the flicker and brightness flicker of shots with low or high frame rates (such as slow- or fast-motion video) or very high shutter speeds.
