A new firmware is available for the RED Komodo. With the new version 1.6.4, the time-lapse function, which was previously only available in the beta, is now part of the official build. In the timelapse menu, the time period between the individual recordings can be set, as well as how many frames should be recorded at a time.

Also new is the undercranking option, i.e. the possibility to film with fewer frames per second than intended for later playback (Project Time Base). This allows a recorded sequence to run through faster later than in real time, which is often used as a trick in action sequences, for example.
In addition to various smaller fixes, the interaction with RF lenses is also said to have been improved in terms of focus control, and Sync Out and Tally GPIO are also supported.
