After we had reported www.slashcam.de/news/single/REDs-High-End-Cine-Kamera-Serie-V-Raptor-erhaelt-Fa-18181.html(here already about the new RED Raptor Face-Detection AF), now it seems to be the RED Komodo X&s turn. With the 1.1.0 beta firmware, which has been available for free download for a short time, RED is now bringing a whole range of new functions to its Komodo-X. ;)
Besides the new Face Detection Auto Focus function, the 1.1.0 beta update now also includes an in-camera online firmware upgrade option, support for OWC and SanDisk CFExpress cards and much more. At  our big field test of the RED Komodo we also took a look at the new AF function, among other things. The AF function showed a lot of potential for a first implementation - it&s exciting to see that RED seems to be consistently expanding its AF function here.
