RED has secretly reduced the price of its once highly acclaimed "Holo" smartphone Hydrogen One drastically from 1,295 to . However, the Hydrogen One is likely to remain a slow seller even at this price: it is now technically even more outdated - current top smartphones (even those from last year) feature better camera quality, better displays and faster SoCs.
In addition, the promised camera module has still not been released, and RED&s own 3D format H4V has also not triggered the enthusiasm expected by RED and has experienced a further spread - the quality of the 3D display was apparently not convincing for most viewers.
