Recently GoPro announced that they are taking the small software company ReelSteady into their family. Although the current Hero Actioncam with Hypersmooth has quite a powerful image stabilisation, the manufacturer apparently expects additional synergies for the further development of GoPro apps through this cooperation.
ReelSteady Go is a simple tool for subsequent stabilization of GoPro action footage - older cameras up to Hero 5 are also supported (including the session). The data of the gyro sensor is used for the calculations. In addition, ReelSteady is available as a more professional After Effects plugin, which offers keyframe-accurate control over the applied stabilization, even of material from other cameras.
