The last few days on the relevant AI video social channels have been dominated by one topic: Google Veo 3 clips with audio. Whether it&s Stormtroopers as vloggers or Bigfoot with very human problems - Google&s new AI video generator seems to effortlessly create short clips with an astonishingly high "production value" - and thus generate millions of views on TikTok, X or Youtube Shorts.
We had  already predicted such a price development at the beginning of the year and believe that this is not even the end of the line. The quality including audio is now truly remarkable: In this package you even get 30 TB of cloud storage and only pay half the price for the first three months - but even those who are willing to pay so much money for this service don&t have it so easy from Germany. Because even if the website Google AI Ultra subscription offers it in German with a price tag in euros, a click on "Use offer" leads to nowhere... §PIC§ After further research, you will find that Google&s AI Ultra Abi with Veo 3 is still not available in any European country. So you can only try to access the subscription via VPN, which, among other things, carries the risk that the contract will be blocked due to circumvention. A practical alternative can be third-party providers who offer Veo 3 via an API and thus pass on the service to third parties, i.e. pass it on. The "easiest" access currently seems to be offered by Replicate. Billing is done via a GitHub account, which in turn can be billed via credit card or Google Pay. You can start prompting directly via a simple interface, with each clip being billed individually. With a non-changeable length of 8 seconds and a resolution of 1280 × 720 at 24 fps, you currently pay 6 dollars per clip here. For many clips, this is of course significantly more than you pay in a Google Ultra subscription. If, on the other hand, you only want to try out 3-5 clips, you can do so via this service. However, it is also to be expected that Google will offer Veo 3 in cheaper models in the near future. It gets really exciting, however, when you can also bring in characters and environments via image prompt.
