With the latest firmware update (1.2.8.), Rode brings a whole range of additional functions to its 32-bit float-capable, compact wireless link. One of the most important new features is a dual high pass filter that can be activated as a 75Hz or 100Hz low cut for wind or other noise in the Rode Central app.
Another new feature is the option to switch off the timeout function in the transmitter. When the timeout is activated, the transmitter is switched off after 15 minutes if no recording is made or it is not connected to a receiver. However, if you want to record longer recordings at a time, it can be useful to have the transmitter on non-stop. However, you should then keep an eye on the battery level, as this can drain the battery more quickly. ;) In addition, the new firmware now also allows the plug-in power detect function on the receiver to be switched off. If this setting is activated, the receiver switches on automatically when the camera is switched on and off when the camera is switched off. However, if you need more control, you can now switch the receiver on and off manually. ;) Finally, the Rode Wireless Pro firmware update also brings compatibility with other Rode Series IV wireless devices including Wireless Go II, Wirless Me and RodeCasters.
