Rosco DMG DASH

Lighting specialist Rosco has announced the DMG DASH im 6-color LED softlight, a compact pocket-sized mobile addition to its MIX family. The Rosco DMG DASH has a light output of 250 lux or, in boat mode, 320 lux (both at a light temperature of 6500K) at a distance of one meter. and achieves CRI and TLCI values averaging >95 CRI ) and >90 (TLCI), respectively, across the entire color temperature range of 1,700K to 10,000K.

Weighing 367 grams, the DMG DASH features a rugged, IP54-rated aluminum alloy housing and is passively cooled, so it&s silent in use. One charge of its USB-C chargeable battery is enough for about 3 hours of operation at 100% output. The DMG DASH LED softlight is controlled either via its integrated 1.3" OLED or wirelessly via Bluetoooth using the myMix app (iOS/Android).

The technical specifications of Rosco DMG DASH.

- It offers color mixing capabilities using the same six-chip LED set (red, green, blue, lime, amber, 4,000K white) found in all of Rosco&s MIX fixtures, allowing the DMG DASH to create over 130 True Rosco color gel matches.
- The accessory kit includes magnetic beam shaping tools, including flat diffuser plate, dome diffuser, eggcrate and a filter holder for additional Rosco gel or diffusion. Also included are a light stand mount, a magnetic mount and a rugged carrying case.
- Boost mode function allows 380 lux at 1 meter distance.
- The DMG DASH can be controlled via the built-in menu options and preset dial, or via Bluetooth with the myMIX app. Modes include gel, white, color, effects and source match.
- The DMG DASH is certified for use outdoors in all weather conditions
- DMG DOT accessories for the DMG DASH include a hemispherical silicone diffuser that encases the DMG DASH to create an omnidirectional light designed to be used as an eyelight or to add a splash of color in a tabletop spotlight, or for use as a convenient on-screen light.

The Rosco DMG DASH comes in two different configurations - one in the form of the DMG DASH Pocket LED Kit with bag, USB-C cable, flat diffuser, dome diffuser, egg crate, light stand and magnetic holders, and gel holder for €239, and one as a Quad Kit for €1,099, which includes four complete pocket kits along with a carrying case, and a bracket that allows the four lights to be plugged together to form one larger one. The first delivery of the DMG Dash is scheduled for spring 2021.
