British lighting specialist RotoLight has introduced the Titan X1, a 1x1 version of its Titan X2 RGBWW Soft Light, which was launched at IBC 2019. Like the X1, the X1 sets a record and according to RotoLight is the brightest 1x1 Soft Light in its class (1,060 lux at 3,200K at 3m distance). In addition to the strong light output and high color accuracy (CRI value at 3200K of more than 97, at 5600K more than 95 and a TLCI of 98) it also brings a number of innovative features.
RotoLight Titan X1
As with the Titan X2, a real innovation is Rotolights SmartSoft technology, thanks to which the diffusion, focus and propagation of light can be adjusted electronically, thus eliminating the need for gels. 1,400 settings to simulate the usual standard gels are available. SmartSoft can be adjusted at the lamp, by DMX or wirelessly. Diffusion can be continuously controlled from 0 - 2 stops (0-100%).
