SWIT presents the CREW series, a new generation of video wireless systems specifically tailored to the demands of professional film and live productions. The product family offers a choice of ranges of 1.2 kilometers (Standard) or 3 kilometers (MAX) and is characterized by a typical latency of only 32 milliseconds. At the heart of all models is the proprietary KUWI-2.0-Pro radio module, which operates in the DFS-compliant 5.1 to 5.9 GHz band. A bidirectional control channel between transmitter and receiver adjusts transmission power and bit rate in real time to ensure a stable connection even in frequency-congested environments.
![]() SWIT Crew The hardware is consistently designed for professional workflows: The transmitter has a 3G-SDI input with loop-out and an HDMI input, while the receiver has two 3G-SDI outputs, an HDMI output and a USB-C port with UVC support. Timecode, camera metadata and record trigger are completely passed through via SDI, enabling multicam synchronization or camera-side trigger recording without additional devices. One transmitter can supply up to four receivers in parallel without negatively affecting range or latency. For example, director&s monitors, focus puller handhelds, DIT stations and livestream encoders can be fed simultaneously with just one transmitter. The system is flexible when it comes to power supply: USB-C input (5 V/2 A) and 2-pin LEMO socket (7–17 V) are standard. For mobile operation, transmitters with NP-F or V-Mount plates and receivers with NP-F, V-Mount or panel options can be combined. All transmitters and receivers in the series are compatible with each other, allowing mixed set-ups. AES-256 encryption and a proprietary RF protocol protect the transmission from unauthorized access, while an integrated display shows status information such as channel, signal strength, temperature and fan status. The fan can be deactivated for noise-sensitive situations - a special protection system automatically intervenes if overheating is imminent. ![]() SWIT Crew In practice, the CREW series primarily facilitates the wireless use of Steadicams, gimbals or vehicle rigs, as long SDI cables are no longer required. The USB-C-UVC interface also reduces the hardware required for hybrid productions that record and stream in parallel. The multi-cast function reduces the number of radio slots required for multi-camera sets, while metadata and timecode synchronization are retained for post-production. ![]() SWIT Crew Delivery is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2025. Prices start at 2,499 euros for the set of CREW transmitter and receiver and range up to 4,999 euros for the CREW/CREW-V MAX Kit (transmitter plus receiver). ![]() SWIT Crew Max ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: SWIT Crew - Neue Profi-Videofunkstrecke mit Timecode und Metadatenübertragung |
