Samsung has presented some interesting monitors at CES 2022 such as the little brother of the 49 inch
Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 released half a year ago, the 32" Odyssey Neo G8 and the High Resolution Monitor S8, both of which are also interesting for working with video.
Odyssey Neo G8
According to Samsung, the Odyssey Neo G8 (model name: G85NB) is the first 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) monitor with a curved (1000R radius of curvature) display with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of 1ms (GtG). What makes the gaming monitor interesting is its Quantum Mini LED display, a VA panel with a mini LED backlight that achieves a contrast ratio of 1,000,000 as well as a peak brightness of 2,000 nits in HDR mode via "Quantum HDR 2000" (who remembers around Samsung&s www.slashcam.de/news/single/Doppelt-so-hell-und-teuer--Samsung-Odyssey-Neo-G9--16674.html DisplayHDR 2000 dispute with VESA) on the G9?).

Odyssey Neo G8
In appearance, it is quite similar to the big Neo G9 with its white case; like the latter, it also features CoreSync ambient lighting, which illuminates the background to match the screen content for greater immersion. Its interfaces include two HDMI 2.1 and one Displayport 1.4. Samsung did not yet provide any information on the exact release date and price - for orientation: the much larger Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 currently costs around 2,200 euros.
High Resolution Monitor S8
The new Samsung High Resolution Monitor S8 (model name: S80PB) will be offered in two sizes - 27" and 32", each with UltraHD resolution - and is aimed squarely at professional users with its fabroom coverage of 98% DCI-P3 and its DisplayHDR 600 certification.

High Resolution Monitor S8
It is the first UL (Underwriter Laboratories) certified glare-free monitor - this is achieved by a matte display applied to the top of the panel, which reduces annoying light reflections even without the use of a monitor hood.
Both High Resolution Monitor S8 models have USB Type-C 90W charging and LAN ports, which turn them into small docking stations for laptops that are not only powered but can also be connected to the LABN via a single cable. Again, Samsung did not yet provide any information about release date and price.
