The new Samsung CHG90 and CHG70 monitors are aimed at the gaming market, but are interesting for some applications: both are crimped and use 144 Hz VA panels with HDR and Freesync 2 support, 1ms response time, 178 Viewing angle horizontal / vertical and quantum dot filter. For the video cut interesting: the sRGB color space is to 125%, the professional www.slashcam.de/artikel/Basic_environment / color space- and-what-for-the-film-indicates--DCI-P3 Color space --- S-Gamut3-Cine color space --- ACES color space.html (DCI-P3 color space) to 95% coverage. PIC1: Samsung CHG90 with 49 Inch The CHG90 is the largest UltraWide Monitor with 49 inch (124cm) screen diagonal so far and offers in the extremely wide 32: 9 format and a DFHD resolution of 3.840 x 1.080 - it replaces itMulti-monitor setups with multiple adjacent windows by providing a large workspace. The two new models of the CHG70 series in the classic 16: 9 format come optionally with 27 and 31.5 inches and a WQHD resolution of 2.560 x 1.440 pixels. The improvements compared to the previous year&s models are in the higher resolution (previously only FullHD) and support of HDR. The two CHG70 models can be turned upwards (Pivot) as opposed to the (for too large) CHG90. The HDR support of the new samsung must however be taken with caution: the maximum brightness is only 600 cd / m - not the maximum 1000 cd / m of the HDR10 standard - and since Samsung does not specify the color depth, probably only 8 bits and Not 10 bits (as defined by the HDR10 standard) Bilder zur Newsmeldung:
