Samsung has introduced a very small and fast mobile SSD. The Portable SSD T5 measures 5.7 x 7.4cm (with a height of around 1cm) and achieves a reading speed of 540 MB / s and a write speed of 515 MB / s via USB 3.1 generation 2 on the USB-C port 20% and 15%, respectively, compared to the predecessor model. Samsung offers four different models of the T5: two blue with 250GB and 500GB capacity as well as two deep blacks with 1TB and 2TB storage space. All models offer hardware encryption via AES 256-bit as well as an app which makes them compatible with Android smartphones.
