Samsung has released the ViewFinity S8 monitor, which is specifically aimed at professional users in the fields of photo and video editing. It is the first glare-free monitor thanks to a special matte coating on the display surface, which is also certified by the testing laboratory 
Underwriter Laboratories. The coating reduces light reflection even when no special monitor hood is used.
Samsung offers the factory color-calibrated ViewFinity S8 in the form of a 32" and a 27" model - both feature UltraHD resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), true 10-bit color depth, 98% coverage of the professional DCI-P3 color space, and support display of HDR according to the VESA DisplayHDR 600 (32" model) and DisplayHDR 400 (27" model) standards with 600 and 400 nits of maximum brightness, respectively.

In addition, the models not only bear the Pantone Validated logo, which guarantees that the full spectrum of more than 2,000 Pantone colors can be faithfully reproduced, but also the new Pantone SkinTone Validated logo, which confirms that the 110 diverse skin tones of the Pantone SkinTone Guide can be authentically reproduced.
The Samsung ViewFinity S8 monitor not only provides 90W of charging power for laptops via its USB-C port, but can also be used as a docking station, which also provides an Ethernet port and USB 3.0 hub with 3 down ports. The other interfaces include a display port as well as an HDMI port.
The monitor can be tilted as well as swiveled and rotated for better ergonomics - in addition, the ViewFinity S8 offers TÜV Rheinland certification for Intelligent Eye Care, Adaptive Picture for optimized quality in any viewing environment, Eye Saver Mode and Flicker Free technology.

Power consumption can be reduced by up to 10% using Samsung&s Eco Savings Plus technology, which reduces pixel brightness in image sections with black pixels.
Samsung&s ViewFinity S8 (model name: S80PB) will be available worldwide from the end of June. Samsung has not yet announced the German price, but in the US it is for the 32" version and around for the 27" model.
