Canadian accessory manufacturer Shape has introduced a new monitor support solution for the Sony FX6 as well as its new "Shapelini" clamp - a Cardellini-like clamp. ;)
The new Shape Monitor Support Bracket for the Sony FX6 is a mounting solution for the FX6 monitor, which has also been specially developed for use with the Sony viewfinder tube for the FX6. The Shape Support Bracket is clamped around the entire viewfinder and, according to Shape, is designed to ensure a particularly secure and stable attachment. The support bracket is attached using Shape&s tried-and-tested 15 mm pushbutton system and is designed to enable particularly quick and easy mounting and removal of the device ;) According to Shape, particular attention has been paid to ensuring stable and smooth LCD movements, which is primarily made possible by damping the pivot point in the bracket, thus allowing precise control over the positioning of the LCD. The position of the LCD screen can finally be secured and locked with a ratchet knob so that it remains in place once the appropriate viewing angle has been found. Shape has also unveiled its new Shapelini Clamp. A Cardellini-like 3-inch clamp - which offers four different mounting options. The Shapelini Clamp is made from steel and features a design that provides both centre and end jaws. The individual jaws feature a special anti-slip material with vulcanised rubber. The Shapellini clamps are each equipped with a 5/8-inch baby pin that can be locked at both ends. ;) Thanks to the large hand screw for the lower clamping jaw, no additional tools are required to release the clamp. The clamp holds square, round or rectangular tubes as well as other common and irregular shapes. The price for the Shape FX6 Monitor Support Bracket is listed on the Shape website at approx. 128 euros and for the Shapelini Clamp at approx. 70 euros.
