We recently presented Sigma&s teaser campaign on slashCAM - now Sigma has officially presented the new zooms. According to Sigma, the new 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary is currently the smallest and lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom in the world for S35/APS-C.
With a length of just 62mm and a weight of 260g, the new Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary ultra-wide-angle zoom is correspondingly compact and light. The optical design consists of 13 elements in 10 groups. The minimum focusing distance is 11.6-19.1 cm. The aperture consists of 7 blades. ![]() In addition to its suitability for landscape and travel setups, Sigma explicitly names video and online content creation as primary applications for the new 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary lens. Video users may also be interested in the minimal focus breathing that Sigma demonstrates in the linked video. The following mounts are supported on the Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary zoom: L-mount, Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount.
