Until now, Silhouette has been offered exclusively as a standalone program for professional rotoscoping and painting tasks in film production. BorisFX is now making it available at a lower price in the form of a plugin for the Adobe tools, as well as via OFX for Autodesk Flame, Blackmagic Design Resolve / Fusion and Foundry Nuke, following the ;) Silhouette Paint offers 32-bit paint tools with high dynamic range for tasks such as matte painting, retouching, cloning or removing unwanted image objects such as logos, rigs, cables, etc. Its non-destructive Auto Paint Stroke system is pressure sensitive and can be used at any resolution. Tracking and masking of paint effects is also possible, thanks to the integrated Mocha technology with planar notion tracking.
There are 16 customizable painting tools available, including Clone, Blemish, Grain, Repair, Drag, an automatic recording of the paint work with selective brush stroke reproduction and Roto Assisted Paint.
