After the success of the first two seasons, Sky has now ordered another season of the high-end series "Das Boot" from Bavaria Fiction. After the first two seasons are now available in UltraHD with Dolby Atmos, Sky is going even further with the third season. According to Sky, it will be the first series worldwide to be produced and streamed in 8K with 3D Dolby Atmos sound. This is made possible by a cooperation between Sky and Samsung, whose QLED 8K SmartTVs will show "The Boat" via Sky Q in 8K (7,680 x 4,320 pixels). Sky has not yet announced whether HDR will also be supported. ![]()
