More exciting than many TV series, it should be for camera enthusiasts to follow the marriage of RED with Nikon - since the announcement of the takeover almost a year ago, a kind of episodic narrative has gradually unfolded. Two rather different protagonists are embarking on a common path: road movies always attract, but where is the journey heading? Initially, there were vague statements (together we are strong), fears (RED will not remain RED) and denials (RED should remain RED), then increasingly concrete announcements about what the technology transfer will look like exactly.

If the mentioned timeframe is correct, unfortunately there will be nothing to see of this camera at the NAB in early April - we are still curious to see how (and what) the camera duo will present there.
