With the 2403 High Bright, SmallHD has introduced what it claims to be the brightest production monitor on the market to date. It is bright enough to be used outside in daylight with 1,600 nits of maximum brightness. Its milled aluminum case and its low weight of only 6.3 kg predestine it for outdoor use.
The SmallHD 2403 has a factory calibrated 24" IPS panel with FullHD resolution, which covers the Rec 709 colour space 100% and has a contrast of 3.100:1. Its interfaces include two 3G-SDI inputs, two 3G-SDI outputs, one HDMI input and output and a headphone output. Power is supplied via XLR Power (12-34VDC) input - a 2-pin output (12V, 4A) can also be used to power another device.
With its OS3 user interface, the SmallHD 2403 offers practical (and often freely configurable) features such as high-resolution scopes, waveform, dual view, exposure assist, frame guides, a spot meter, a false color display and an image gallery viewer.
The SmallHD 2403HB is expected to be on the market in spring 2020 at a price of ,999.
