After we reported yesterday about the new USB-C chargeable DSLM batteries from SmallRig, here is a new mounting solution for V-mount batteries - also for DSLMs. With the compact V-Mount Battery Mounting System 4064, SmallRig offers a tool-less mounting and quick-release option to operate V-Mount batteries on a DSLM. ;)
Thanks to the Arca-Swiss based (double-sided) interchangeable system, you can quickly switch between gimbal, handheld and tripod. Thanks to the swivelling V-mount mounting plate, the back of the camera can be accessed without removing the V-mount battery. ;) We had rigged up a slightly more modular V-Mount DSLM mounting option around the SmallRig V Mount Battery Plate 2988 for our interviews at NAB with the Panasonic S5II - a setup that worked very well in conjunction with the USB-C capable FXlion V-Mount Battery Nano II and which we reported on  here on slashCAM in detail. With the new V-Mount battery mounting system 4064, SmallRig now presents our DSLM V-Mount mounting system made from individual components in one piece. We are looking forward to seeing how flexibly the new mounting solution can be used.
