Zhiyun has introduced the new smartphone Gimbal Smooth-XS, an alternative to the Smooth-X from Zhiyun. The new Gimbal stabilizes recordings with smartphones and enables wireless control of photo or video recordings via the three controls integrated in the handle of the Smooth-XS.
A special feature of the gimbal, which is about the size of a smartphone when collapsed, is the extendable handle - an extendable telescopic arm made of aluminum - which allows you to shoot selfies from a distance (up to 26cm), making the Smooth-XS a stabilized selfie stick. You can easily switch between portrait and landscape format.

With the help of
ZY Cami App (iOS/Android) the filmed video material can be edited and, for example, subtitles, transitions and music can be added. Likewise, the smartphone can then use gimbal to track an object via SmartFollow 2.0 and film it in motion. The panorama mode automatically creates a 180° panorama - other recording modes include time-lapse, hyperlapse and motion time-lapse modes. The app also includes options for face enhancement via algorithm.
A Smart mode is designed to make it easier to shoot small clips using templates that include selectable motion sequences, music and special effects. A handy feature when using the gimbal as a smart tripod for shooting is the ability to start recording via gesture.

One battery charge lasts for up to 5.5 hours of gimbal operation - this time can be extended even further with the help of a power bank. The Smooth-XS weighs only 246 grams, is available in four colors and costs around 75 dollars.
