Sony has released new versions of the remote toolkit for wired and wireless remote control via USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi for many of its cameras. The 2024.1.0 version of Camera Remote Command expands the list of compatible cameras to include the Sony FX6, BURANO, Alpha 9 III, and ZV-E10 II, and adds support for 100 new commands as well as image transmission via PTP-IP. Version 1.13 of the Sony Camera Remote SDK (Software Development Kit) also includes additional compatible camera models and several new features, such as absolute position settings for optical zoom. The Sony Remote Toolkit is a software solution that enables photographers and videographers to wirelessly control their Sony cameras along with lenses. Users can develop software that allows them to adjust camera settings, triggers, framing, and focus remotely, as well as monitor the live view.
