The small FX3 in the Sony Cinema Line will soon be sold as the FX3a with a minimal modification. This camera features a different, higher-resolution display with 2.36 million pixels, as the previously used type (with 1.44 million pixels) is said to no longer be available.

No other differences can be found in the specifications - some websites report that the USB-C port has been updated, but we could not find any confirmation of this. From the gimbal-mounted full-frame sensor to supported video resolutions (up to 120p in 4K) including Cinetone-S to the included battery, everything remains the same - here again
our practical test of the FX3, which came onto the market in 2021 as the "Cine version" of the Sony A7S III.
The updated model is already listed on the Austrian Sony pages, but without a price.
