As already announced in April
announced Sony
after the firmware update V2.1 for the FX9 has now also released the update 1.10 for the FX6. It enables 4K UltraHD (3,840 x 2,160) RAW recording externally as well as XAVC-I internally at 100 as well as 120 fps.
External ProRes RAW recording with the Sony FX6 requires one of Atomo&s recorders, such as the
Ninja V, the
Shogun 7, or the new
Shinobi 7 (the Ninja V also requires an Atom-X SDI module for SDI input and an SDI RAW license for ProRes RAW recording).

In addition, the firmware update, which is available for both Windows and macOS, is also said to improve the stability of the camera and
according to a first user report in our forum also dramatically improves the startup time of the camera, so that the camera is now ready to shoot in about one second after power on.
Here the instructions from Sony on how to properly perform the firmware update to version 1.10.
